Who you need to see in IBC 2019
With the International Broadcasting Convention (IBC) show starting next week its time to sort out your schedule and plan who’s a must see in this years line up. Don’t worry we’re here at OSF to help, We’re show you the top stands and talks you need to see.
The first panel and screening session you need to see is the legendary games of thrones , ‘The long night’ where a panel of key creatives from the project will discuss the technologies and craft which went into the project. We’re hoping to hear more about how Unreal Engine was used in the pre-visualization stage of the project and what other new technologies were optimized. The panel and screening will be on the big screen from 16:00 to 18:30.
A break down of the cinematography behind the ground breaking Lion king is a must see for all attending IBC this year. The talk will feature 4 speakers from the project that include Stijn Van der Veken andRobert Legato the Visual Effects Supervisor of Lion King. These established talkers will be discussing their work on the project and experience working with new game engine techniques. It’ll be interesting to hear how such a big production incorporated a totally new technology like Unreal Engine. The Lion King talk will be taking place at 12:00 – 13:15 on the big screen.
Mo-Sys Engineering and Onset facilities will be demonstrating a range of new technologies from real time virtual production tools to Hyper-drive cameras. The Mo-Sys stand will have various demos happening, there’ll be a live LED wall demo being directed by Asa bailey a DVP (director of virtual production). A virtual studio will be running with Xsens motion capture suits, all working to together in real time. Mo-Sys has two stands, one in Future Zone and one in Hall 6. Demonstrations will be running everyday of the event.
They’ll be a live demo from Ncam and BT sports showcasing the new VR and AR space in sports. They’ll also be giving the low-down on Dock 10’s virtual studio for match of the day. All the AR virtual studios in the demo are being powered by the Unreal Egine with the aid of Zero Density and 3D tracking by Mo-Sys Engineering. The demo will be running on the 14 from 15:15 to 15:40 on the big screen.
Arri will also be hosting a event on the big screen from 11:45 to 12:30. Arri are rumored to be giving a special screening with new products and prominent guests from the industry.
